HDC Flagship Gig Harbor
Every Spirit Has a Story…
Heritage Distilling Company was conceived among friends while conversing around a fire pit. Within a year, remodel of an existing 8,500 square foot wood-framed building was underway to establish the new start-up distillery in Gig Harbor, Washington. Owners Justin and Jennifer Stiefel coordinated the project themselves, soliciting a handful of like-minded partners to join in.
The design team worked with the owners to provide value-minded solutions to work within their limited project budget. The project includes a 2,000 liter pot still assembly (named “Nonna”, Italian for Grandmother), six 27-gallon micro stills, mash cooker, fermentation tanks, bottling equipment, boiler and steam distribution systems, water filtration system, mill and grain handling areas, tasting and retail space, staff offices and support space.
