Historic Millville

Gig Harbor, WA

“We were fortunate to find an architect who understood the historical significance of our 100-year-old house on the main street of downtown Gig Harbor. Darrin's design not only enhanced the unique features of the existing structure but included a sizable addition, which allows us to live and entertain with today’s modern features.

We were grateful for his attention to detail and suggestions. We could not have done this project without his knowledge of the local regulations and culture.

Darrin provided expert guidance in each step of the renovation process. He was a pleasure to deal with, and we thank him for making our home special.”

This historic property was the original home of Peter and Katie Ancich. Built in the early 20th century, it is a prime example of the architectural style that defined Gig Harbor’s Croatian boat building and fishing community. fi architecture envisioned a new, contemporary home, remodeling the existing structure and adding on while preserving the home’s original character and charm.
